PG. Foils Limited, was incorporated in 1979 as a public limited company, promoted by Prem Group of Industries and Rajasthan Industrial & Investment Corporation (RIICO) as a joint venture. During 1988, the equity of RIICO was transferred to the private promoters under the buy-back arrangement. The Registered Office of the company was in Rajasthan upto 1985 but was shifted to Ahmedabad (Gujarat) thereafter, with it's head office in Pipalia Kalan (Rajasthan). PGFL setup an aluminium foil manufacturing plant with an installed rolling capacity of 5000 MT per annum by importing plant from ALCOA (GB) Ltd. London. The plant was supplied by Tenstate Ltd. London. The company is engaged in the manufacturing of foils of various qualities and thickness e.g. tagger foil, pharma foils, laminated foils, blister foils, paper laminated board and printed foils. Making consistant profits since then, the company has grown at a rapid pace. The critical factors for the success of the project are timely availability of raw material, uninterrupted supply of power, maintaining of drug policy of the Government which requires majority of the pharmaceutical products to be packaged in aluminum foil. PG FOILS as an organisation has grown over the years many fold to become one of India's leading manufacturers of aluminium foils and its laminates. The fact remains that foil is widely used in the packaging industry as an unsaperable component further more,Pharmaceutical and Food Industry is also not untouched from the importance of this product. Products: The Company is engaged in the manufacture of a wide range of Aluminium Foils. Aluminium, the basic component in these products, has the qualities of being nontoxic, lightweight, attractive, flexible, strong, ductible, durable, recyclable, good conductor, reflector, non-magnetic, rust proof and resistant to ultra violet rays.
