Kakatiya Cement was incorporated in the year 1979 at Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh. The Company was promoted by P.Venkateshwarlu. The main object of the Company is to manufacture Cement. It commenced commercial production in the year 1983 and increased capacity utilisation steadily to reach 100% within 5 months.
Slug in domestic market, in the event of slow development at Infrastructure front, resulted in lower cement off take particularly in south particularly. Eventually, for the quarter ended December 99 the company reported 17.2% to Rs 156.1 mn. This has pulled down net profit by 49% to Rs 2.6 mn.
