The Company was incorporated on 23rd September, 1988 under the Companies Act, 1956 at Bombay and obtained the Certificate of Commencement of Business on 21st November, 1988. The Company has set up a new industrial undertaking for the manufacture of 5000 tpa of polybutenes (PBS) at MIDC Estate, Trans-Thane |Creek Industrial Area, Thane, Maharashtra. The Company has been promoted by Maharashtra Petrochemcials Corporation Limited (MPCL) and Herdillia Chemicals Limited (HCL) in technical collaboration with Fina Technology Inc., USA (FTI). HCL, an existing, profitable, dividend paying Company, is a professionally managed company with Shri G.P.Goenka as its Chairman and Shri S.C.Agerwala as its Managing Director. Hercules Inc., USA is the technical and financial collaborator of HCL. HCL has been consistently profitable in the past. It is a market leader in the production of phenol and a major producer of acetone and cumene.
