Andrew Yule & Company Ltd is founded in 1863 and incorporated as Private Limited in 1919. The Company was converted into Public Limited Company in 1948 and became a Central Public Sector Enterprise (Schedule B Company) in 1979 with the acquisition of 49% equity share in 1974 and 2% in 1979 by Government of India. The Andrew Yule Group is a Rs. 6.04 billion (US$ 124 million), multi-product, multi-unit conglomerate and serving the Industry over 142 years with distinction and credibility. The Yule Group comprises of Andrew Yule & Co. Ltd, the parent Company and the six Group Companies with diverse business interests in Power, Telecom, Engineering & Environment, Electrical, Lubricants, Industrial Electronics, Tea, Turnkey Contracts, Financial Services and Printing. While the parent Company, Andrew Yule & Company Limited, is a Government of India Enterprise, the Group Companies are in Private Sector with widely distributed shareholding.
