Sahara India Pariwar acquired in August, 2002 substantial equity holdings of a Housing Finance Company listed and based at Hyderabad, registered and approved for refinance by regulatory body National Housing Bank. That was how Sahara Housingfina Corporation Limited (SHCL) was born and registered and set up its corporate office at Kolkata.
