Lakshmi Overseas Industries Ltd is implementing the expansion-cum-modernisation scheme estimated to cost nearly Rs 90 crore, envisaging additional 1,200 tpd paddy processing capacity, 200 tpd solvent extraction and 230 tpd cattle feed capacities.
Under the scheme the company will also put up a wheat processing capacity of 275 to 300 tpd, besides overhaul of existing facilities as well as adding to its existing fleet, heavy duty trucks for carriage of inward and outward materials. The company is also implementing its first phase of biomass-based power plant with generation capacity of 30 mw estimated to cost Rs 109 crore to take advantage of the captive husk generated from the paddy processing as by-product.
