Novopan was started in 1979 by Mr. GV Reddy in liberalized industrial policies, it also laid the
seeds for the growth of GVK group of industries. Novopan Industries is a GVK enterprise, which
pioneered the concept of ready to use prelaminated particle boards in India. Apart from a
Pioneer, Novopan has beed acknowledged for its operational strategies involving forward and
backward integrations.
Novopan has not only introduced and promoted acceptance of a new concept but also displayed
excellent brand building skills. Novopan is today, virtually the generic name in India for
prelaminted particle boards. Novopan Industries Ltd was first in India to manufacture three-layered particle board and it set
up its unit at Patancheru, an industrial enclave close to the city of Hyderabad. The smooth
transfer of technology was the first of the challenges Novopan met. Technology was obtained from
FAHRN institute Swizerland for three layer particle boards and from Runder of Austria for the
lamination division. Technology intensive process improvements have enabled Novopan to achieve 150 per cent capacity
utilization. Today, Novopan manufactures the widest range in pre-laminated particle boards, including special grades for flooring. Quality, versatality, economy and product support continue to reinforce its brand leadership. Novo Furniture was an innovative and strategic forward integration move built on the versatility
and brand leader-Ship of novopan prelaminated particle boards.
