Kirloskar Brothers Limited, (KBL) incorporated in 1920 is the acknowledged leader in fluid
handling and largest manufacturer and exporter of pumps in India. The company's product range
includes a wide range of energy efficient centrifugal pumps for agriculture, domestic,
industrial, process and general applications and large vertical pumps and concrete volute pumps
for power projects, water supply and lift irrigation schemes, ranging from small domestic pumps
of 0.375 Kw to large pumps of 12000 Kw.
One of the main strengths of KBL lies in its specially trained engineers capable of offering tailor made solutions to fluid transfer problems typically encountered in large water supply, irrigation and power projects and process industries such as chemical, fertilizers, sugar, steel, petroleum and oil and gas. KBL is the only pump manufacturing company in India to manufacture canned motor pumps for harsh and toxic chemicals and liquid sodium pumps for special applications and have designed, manufactured and commissioned pumping systems involving concrete volute pumps. on Narmada Canal, which involves design, engineering, procurement, supply, erection and
commissioning of five pumping stations comprising 26 concrete volute pumps and 22 Vertical
Turbine Pumps. On completion, it will pump 4,10,000 liters of water per second to provide
irrigation and drinking water to millions of people in the draught affected areas of Saurashtra
