The ISSAL plant is located at Jejuri, 55 kms from Pune, which in turn is, 200 kms from Mumbai ( Bombay ). The plant has modern Steel Manufacturing Facilities and has an installed capacity to produce 2,40,000 MT per annum of Alloy & Carbon Steels.
ISSAL has been concieved to manufacture high quality steel required for Seamless tubes manufacturing and other such critical applications in forging / general engineering industry. The plant commenced its commercial production in 1994 with an investment of over Rs.2400 million(U.S.$ 70 million). Within a short span, the company has grown to acquire a formidable presence in various markets for steels requirements for varied applications.
The production process beginning from selection of raw materials to finish stage is aided by systems and practices, which facilitate consistent production of steel to customer quality and delivery needs.
