Punj Lloyd Limited is one of the largest engineering construction companies in India providing integrated design, engineering, procurement, construction and project management services for energy industry and infrastructure sector projects. In the years ended March 31, 2006 and in the nine months ended December 31, 2006 Punj Lloyd generated approximately 42.74% & 67.53% of its consolidated sales and contracts revenue from projects executed outside India.

The company owns a large fleet of sophisticated construction equipment including pipelaying equipment, amphibious equipment for offshore work, automatic welding machines, horizontal directional drilling rigs, barges, swamp excavators, heavy construction equipment, concrete pavers, piling rigs, and transportation and camp equipment.  As of January 2007, Punj Lloyd experienced multicultural work force consisted of approximately 2488 full time employees and more than 6,862 casual and temporary contract employees based around the world. Punj Lloyd believes it is one of the few engineering construction companies internationally to have in-house capability to provide comprehensive mechanical fabrication, erection, pre-stressed wall construction and insulation works for LNG tanks.

Punj Lloyd Limited has also bagged its single largest Offshore Platform Project - the prestigious Heera Redevelopment Project on an EPC basis from ONGC. It has also successfully completed EPC contracts for various process facility projects including phase IV of the Peciiko development project in Indonesia, the Vis-breaker unit and sulphur block at the CPCL refineries for Petrofac, the MSQ upgradation project for IOC at Haldia in India and the sulphur and utilities package for Siirtech Nigi at the IOC refinery at Guwahati in India. Punj Lloyd is also executing the off-sites and utilities (piping and mechanical erection) project of GASCO for Bechtel in Abu Dhabi and is working on two contracts for 4 X 250 MW thermal power plant stations for Jindal Power Limited at Raigarh in India.

Cryogenic tankage and terminals:
Punj Lloyd has built more than six million m³ of storage capacity in its tankage and terminal construction business. Turnkey telecom solutions
In the 21st Century speed is the essence of communication. Punj Lloyd has developed and deployed turnkey telecom solutions of data, voice, and video networks. These solutions include design and implementation of high quality hybrid networks consisting of optical fibre, co-axial cable and microwave equipment.

The designed networks offer broadband IP (Internet Protocol) internet access services, intra-corporate VPN (Virtual Private Network), mission critical information systems, cable TV services for digital quality software, data centre services and managed optical fibre operation. Punj Lloyd’s High Value Engineering Centre provides engineering and design services for Indian and international projects in the hydrocarbon and infrastructure industry.
