EID Parry (India) Ltd was established in the year 1788, Parry is presently engaged in a wide galaxy of diversified activities. It became a member of the Murugappa group in the year 1981 and thereafter the story has been one of turnaround and of steady growth. Currently, E. I. D. Parry has evolved into one of the largest business groups in the country. It is engaged in the manufacture and marketing of a wide-range of products, that can be broadly divided into the following two groups: Parryware ' Ceramic Sanitary ware. Sugar, Bio-Products & Chemicals ' Sugar, Alcohol, Power, Bio-products. The company has been a pioneer in many fields, including setting up of India's first chemical fertiliser plant - at Ennore, Sugar plant - at Nellikuppam and Sanitaryware plant - at Ranipet.
