The Company Maharaja Shree Umaid Mills Ltd. was founded by Late Sh.Mugnee Ram Ji Bangur in the year 1939 with the object of social and economic upliftment of the people of Western Rajasthan (India). The Company was originally a small spinning unit. Relentless efforts of the management made it reach to its present status of composite mills with the size of 72832 Spindles, 1176 Rotors and 496 looms alongwith a complete process house having capacity to process 41000 mtrs. of fabrics per day.
The Company has gone ahead with its object of social and economic upliftment of the region so far and contributed to the cause of the society by setting up a Hospital, Post-Graduation College,Sen-ior Secondary School, Museum, Stadium, Dharmshala, Temple and other Social utilities at Pali and a Post Graduation Engineering College at Jodhpur. The Company organizes various festivals in Pali regularly in a year. The company has a neck to groom itself as one of the leading textile mills of India. It has already modernized its Spinning Equipments. A plan of making further value addition in yarns and fabrics is already in hand.
