The Patodia Group of Industries founded by the late visionary B L Patodia in 1938, as a trading concern in cotton and art silk yarns, which went on to become the largest distributor of yarns in India. Today, the Patodia Group focuses on producing top of the line 100% combed cotton yarn and has 4 spinning companies under its umbrella - PBM Polytex Limited, BLP Super Spinners and Eurotex Industries Unit 1 and Unit 2 and an export trading house by the name of Patodia Syntex Limited. PBM Polytex Limited was incorporated on the 24th November 1919 under the name and style of 'The Petlad Bulakhidas Mills Co. Ltd.' The management of the Company was taken over by 'The House of Patodia's in 1978 and the name of the Company was changed to PBM POLYTEX LTD. Subsequent to the takeover, extensive modernization of the mills was effected. Company's factory building were repaired and additional buildings constructed. Plant & Machinery were gradually replaced with latest machinery through fifteen major modernization programs during the past twenty years. The Company has installed indigenous as well as imported machinery sourced from world class manufacturers like Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd. Coimbatore, Luwa Switzerland, Vouk Italy, Schlafhorst Germany, Zellweger Uster Switzerland and Murata Japan. The Company has also diversified into texturising and twisting of filament yarn and set up texturising and twisting capacity division at Silvassa in the Union Territory of Dadara and Nagar Haveli. Products: At PBM they manufacture a wide range of products from Ne 24's to Ne 80's, both single and TFO doubled yarns from as many as 25 raw material mixes. The company yarns may be used for Knitting, Weaving, Gassing and Mercerizing applications and are tailor-made to suit customers' specification.
